Norm Grondin

Norm Grondin is a husband, father, poet, and elementary school teacher from southwestern Ontario, Canada. After a 20-year detour into the world of hardcore punk and radical politics, he returned to the Catholic faith of his youth, taking particular interest in its rich intellectual tradition. While his previous writing projects tended to centre around traditional hardcore punk themes of total liberation, his current work maintains this throughline but through the Christian answer to the quest for meaning, identity and purpose. Aside from writing and translating for The Symbolic World, his main writing project for the past five years has centred around a Lenten practice of writing and publishing poems on the seven last words of Christ. Aside from writing, his other interests include reading, prayer, rucking and applied theology.
