    Thank you! That was fascinating. It reminded me of the Roman tradition to perch a slave on the back of your chariot as you rode through the city in triumph. The people applauded you, and the slave murmured, “Remember you will die.” I observe a constant human tendency to oversimplify, or to resolve tension, even at the cost of breaking things or limiting understanding. It seems to be a life skill, to acquire the ability to maintain something in balance, learning from multiple facets without crushing them together into a simple but pointless mass.
