St-Margaret the Dragonslayer – Peaceful Protest and The Feminine Hero
For a literature class at Saskatoon University, I discuss St-Margaret (Marina) of Antioch with Mark
Doerksen. We discuss St-Margaret’s surprising story of being swallowed by a dragon and piercing it to escape. We examine how this is related to the feminine hero and the role of martyrs as examples for Christians.
Another terrific conversation. When you noted that this was done in Saskatoon, I got worried that I missed your visit here, so I’m personally glad it was a virtual chat. Hope you make it out west again soon!
