I think that technology is something like the icon of the dog-faced person: it depends on what use or devotion is made. The dog-faced people can be saints and servants of Christ; you, Jonathan, are using technology for the gospel, essentially. If technology (specifically the internet) is colonized by so much that is anti-Christian in many ways, then should we not also use it to spread His gospel, just like He sent out the apostles to the world?

Regarding architecture of Orthodox churches, the round dome always strikes me as extremely maternal, hovering and protective; the square also provides a certain kind of space of protection and ingathering. Just compare the minarets around the Agia Sofia to the church — what a contrast. The round dome reminds me of Christ’s own maternal symbol for Himself, as mother hen who shields chicks under her wings (in the lament over Jerusalem).

Jonathan, the woke are not like King Saul. Saul was anointed by God, the modern/postmodern alliance weren’t. So we don’t have to be like David, since we’re not dealing with a corrupt yet legitimate authority. It’s an illegitimate authority.
