Requirements for an article submission:
Our goal is to surprise people with meaning — to present familiar things and show their place in the cosmos.
As for tone, your submission should be appropriate for a general audience. For example, it is perfectly acceptable for a writer to be aligned to a specific faith and for that to be evident in his or her writing, but the faith of the audience should not be presupposed. An academic basis in knowledge, moreover, is great a thing to have and work from, but the content presented should not require acquaintance with a particular field of study.
Overall, a general familiarity with what we have published in the past is the best guide to what we're looking for. Manuscripts can be submitted as a Google doc, Word document, or PDF.
